Comedy Club is coming....

Hello!!

Are you ready to laugh? Next Monday it's April Fool's Day, 1st of April, and we have to celebrate it on a large scale!

"April Fools' Day, sometimes called All Fools' Day, is one of the most fun days of the year. Its origins are uncertain. Some see it as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons, while others believe it stems from the adoption of a new calendar".

Anyway, the core of this day is to have fun and laugh with your friends and family. That's why in class we're going to do a "Comedy Club"Each of you have to memorize at least two jokes and then, on Monday you will have to perform your show in front of the class.

  • In this webpage you can find some ideas: Joke

Using a laughmeter we will decide who is the jokes' Champion. Are you ready??

Mondays will never be blue again after this!

Word Games

I love word games! I think they are very funny. What about you, do you like them? In class we have seen some examples:

This is a funny and clever way to play with English, don't you think? We also have the possibility of playing with only one word and its meaning, check this out:

I love them all! It would be amazing if we can create our own ones, it's easier than you think. The other day one girl of the class gave me this example:  "Cupcake" >  "Teapotcake".

If at the end of the week we have enough, we will work on designs for your word games in class!! I can't wait to hear them all :D

The structure for the comment has to be:

Hello! I'm Miriam. My wordgame is: Cupcake - Teapotcake. The real word is cupcake and I made the word game using the part "cup" because by itself has a different meaning. Best.

Bye!
